Privacy Policy

This page explains what personal information is collected when you join the Jack Of All Trades (JOAT) waitlist, what happens to it, and the choices you have. It is written to be read, so I have kept it short and plain.

Who I am

The JOAT program is run by TheChazFella ("I", "me"). I decide how and why your information is used, which makes me the "data controller". My contact details are at the bottom of this page.

What I collect

When you join the waitlist I collect:

• your first name
• your email address

The service that provides the sign-up form also receives some basic technical information when you submit it, such as your IP address and the time you signed up.

Why I collect it

I use your name and email address to send you emails about the JOAT relaunch: when the early access window opens, launch updates, and information about the program. I only do this because you have agreed to it. That agreement (your consent) is my legal basis for using your information.

I do not sell your information, and I do not use it for anything unrelated to JOAT.

Who else handles your information

I use a small number of other services to run this page and send emails. They handle your information on my behalf:

• MailerLite provides the sign-up form, stores the waitlist and sends the emails.
• Netlify hosts this website and may process technical information, such as your IP address, when you visit it.

Some of these providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, they rely on legal safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect it.

How long I keep it

I keep your name and email address until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them. If you unsubscribe, you stop receiving emails and I remove you from the list.

Your rights

You can, at any time:

• ask for a copy of the information I hold about you
• ask me to correct it, or delete it
• ask me to restrict or stop using it
• withdraw your consent, which you can do by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email I send

To use any of these rights, contact me using the details below. If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. In Ireland, that is the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The sign-up form is provided by MailerLite and may use small technical files, such as cookies, that it needs in order to work.

Children

This site is not aimed at children under 16, and I do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If I change how I use your information, I will update this page and the date at the top.
